Guano was created as part of ‘Beeraphilistic’; a tongue-in-cheek exhibition of brewery related paraphernalia, with contributions from some of Manchester’s best Illustrators and designers. The branding for my fabricated brand included a logo, posters and a promotional mirror.
The branding takes its inspiration from a popular Irish stout and its unusual advertising. The poster was printed as a two colour limited edition risograph. The wooden toucan was laser-cut, spray painted, and the parts bolted together to give it a hinged beak. The mirror itself was laser-cut, before the bird was attached. The toucan toby-jug was sculpted from self-drying clay, and is partnered with a Guano tasting cup.
The exhibition is currently displayed at Common Bar, Manchester.
